We are grateful to have participated in an intercounty exchange between the Nairobi and Kwale County Youth Forums under the Sheria Ya Vijana! Project, where our Executive Director, Boniface Harrison, who is also Co-Chair of the Nairobi County Youth Forum, represented Nairobi.
The exchange highlighted challenges affecting young people in the green and digital economy, including pollution, waste pickers’ welfare, unreliable electricity, costly data, limited opportunities, water scarcity, human-wildlife conflict, weak digital infrastructure, limited information and gatekeeping.
We thank Organization of African Youth Kenya, WeWorld Kenya, Barnfonden, Stretchers Youth Organization, Action for Sustainability Initiative, Kenya Climate Innovation Centre and the European Union in Kenya for their support and guidance.
We will continue working alongside young people and partners to turn shared challenges into practical solutions and lasting change.
