We’re delighted to have participated in the Technical University of Kenya Career Day, where our Executive Director, Boniface M. Harrison delivered a peer address as an alumnus of the university.
He shared key insights saying:
1. “Utilize your free time wisely. Attend events, learn new skills, and connect with people who might link you to job opportunities or other valuable networks.”
2. “Be adaptable and open-minded in the real world. You may not land your dream job immediately, but adapt to survive, and keep working towards your goals.”
3. “Strive to be effective in your work. Let your value speak for you—put your best effort into every task, no matter how small.”
4. “Leverage social media to build your profile and secure opportunities. Use it to show the world what you do, showcase your skills, and share thoughtful perspectives.”
5. “Excel in your studies. Some careers and scholarships require strong academic performance, so aim to keep your grades up.”
